Spotlight Kid is a gorgeous shoegaze band from England, featuring members of Six By Seven, Echobelly, Bent and Model Morning. Their influences are Ride, The Telescopes, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver, Spacemen 3, The Boo Radleys. Their debut album "Departure" has been released on Club AC30 in 2006. This is their first release on shoegazer label 2&1 Records, run by the founder of famous Alison Records label (Malory, Resplandor, Monster Movie, Highspire).
